StarClub Translation Bill: I am more and more suspicious around girls! Reclaimed in America, North Africa and in Europe, the four boys should launch into a tour marathon! But what becomes of Tokio Hotel? After many months of being under medai surveillance, they dissappeared from French radio and television coverage. Their new album, expected to come out in January 2009, has been postponed to spring. Has this phenomenon been stunted? (?) Not necessarily... At work... Bill: "No, we are not separated. Tom and I are nutcases about work. We spend our time writing new songs, testing them and reworkign them. We'll come back strongly, believe me!" Preparation... Tom: "Yes, the release of the album has been postponed until spring of 2009. We don't know the date because you have to be ready. (?) Releasing a new album means to set out again on the roads of the world. We would love to do it, but all four of us need to take care of our health before starting again. But if our fans miss us, we will return as soon as possible." In America... Bill: "We know that people said that the Americans don't like us at all, and that it won't work in the states. But the night of the VMA's proved otherwise! We met at Hollywood, surrounded by international stars, and suddenly, we heard our name! We won the award of Best Newcomers! There were very big names there such as Miley Cyrus and Katy Perry. Afterwards, we celebrated with a party! In South America... Tom: "We also went to Mexico to do promotions for our music and we were received like Mexican stars. We spent hours signing autographs and we saw fans crying when we approached. It was very touching. We didn't know that we were liked there as well. We have to Internet to thank for that. I know that the fans of the world exchange info about us." You hate... Bill: "The worst are the attacks from the paparazzi. It's impossible to do anything without being photographed. Even during our vacation, they surprised us in our bathing suits." Tom: " It is the same in France and in America. They try to catch us at our worst moments and take the worst pictures. One time in New York, I was having something to drink by myself, just to take a break. And the day after, I learned that Tokio Hotel is separated because I was alone in a bar." Bill: "Oh yeah! Another dance in France, I was sitting on the ground during a repetition (?) to take a break, and I wasn't smiling. The morning after, I discovered that I was depressed and exhausted, and exploited by my management. It's such BS!" Lessening the pressure... Bill: "I know that I need to take a break. I was often sick in the past year and it's very annoying to be sick far from home. You feel very lonely...it had to be held because we had a very crazy schedule. I took photos without pleasure responded poorly at interviews. The only thing that I did gladly was signing autographs. I was time to take a break!" And girls? Tom: "I have the impression that I'm calm around girls. I seduce them a lot, but it doesn't amuse me anymore. I wonder whether or not I would be ready for a real relationship...under the condition that the girl is absolutely amazing! Bill: "Me, I'm beginning to worry. More time has passed, and more people are becoming suspicious. When a girl approaches me during an after-show, I always ask if she's waiting for me. Does she want Bill from Tokio Hotel or is it really me that interests her? It really hurts me to not have a girlfriend. Fortunately I still have my music! TH Haters... Bill: "I know that they're are anti-Tokio-Hotel-campaigns in Germany and in some European countries. But I also learned that certain fans have been harassed in middle school or high school because they are fans. That's unacceptable! It's normal that there are people who don't like us. You can't please everybody...but when they take it out on our fans, I think its disgusting." New Look? Bill: "You want me to get rid of my look? It's not because we are approaching the release of a new album that I'm changing. I do whatever I feel like doing at the moment. It's true that I stopped putting streaks in my hair. Everybody can see it on my statue at Madam Tussaud's. But my look is not a marketing product that I change according to albums or tours. It depends on the moment and if I want to change anything. And in this case, it'll be a surprise for everybody!"

ENTREVISTAA

Even though it is not your first time in France the situation is still the same, fans screaming and shouting, waiting at the entrances and exits of wherever you go. Is this something that makes you happy? Bill: It's almost become normal now, it makes us happy every time we see our fans, it's really extraordinary, it happens in every country, it's really cool to see the international success we can have! To see fans get that excited over us is really cool! Do you have more success in France and did it come before your native country Germany? Tom: No, everything started in Germany, it's there in our native country where we first had success. Either way whenever we come to France we are always warmly welcomed and we have awesome concerts, there's tons of fans, now obviously it's been a long time that we've been doing shows but there are still the same fans that scream just as loud! But we can't really say which country we have had more success in. Bill: Everything originated in Germany because withought our German fans we would have none. It's thanks to them that we have been abble to expand our succes all the way over here. For us it all really started in Germany. In Europe everyone has heard of the group Tokio Hotel, do you have any plans to take over other continents? The United-States for example. Bill: Well, we can't say that we are fixed on being a success in the United-States, obviously we would like to but it's already great that we are such a huge success in Europe! We are really happy to be abble to tour and perform in so many European countries, it's really unexpected. We aren't looking into being a success in North America right now, it's not that we dont' want to it's just that we like what we are doing right now. Are you going to stop writing in German and record English songs now? Tom: Oh no no because all of our lyrics are writen in German and it's our mothertongue. Bill expresses himself better in German, he doesn't know enough English to write English lyrics. We will continue to write our lyrics in German, there will always be translations. Bill:For now we are writing in German. 90% of students enterring college want to learn German, so now German professers have more work! It's all thanks to you guys. Tom: We had no idea the number was that high! Wow... 90% is a huge number! It's something that makes us really proud! It's a great feeling when you walk out of hotels and there are fans that try and speak to us in German, they really try hard! From 3:50 to 4:05 It is hard to give an exact translation of what she is saying because the guys are laughing laudly over her, but Tom is mentioning how they never really contributed to anythig taht has to do with school and stuff like that. You all look very unique with your long hair, but I have heard talk that the call from the military is not very far away. I imagine that your fans are wondering what will happen to your hair? Bill: Well we're like everyone else, they will call us one day or another, but the question isn't if they will cut our hair or if we will have to take our make up off, the real question is what will happen with the band? This could be a problem because the band to us is our life, we don't really know what will happen. So Bill and Tom, you are twins right? It's certain that you don't look alike, it's obviously because of your style. What made you go for the "gothic" style Bill? And for you Tom the..uhhh...street/reggae look? Bill: The "look" isn't something I wanted to happen, it just sort of became what it is over time, you have to know that up until the age of 6 you really couldn't tell us apart. Of course it was mom and dad who dressed us, they even bought us (here she says something like "pule" or "pile", this is Franch from France so I'm not really sure what that means but from what I've heard before I'm pretty sure their shirts) shirts and wrote our names on them so that it was easier for people to tell us apart! Over time we got interested in different things, started listening to different music, that's kind of how our style started. It obviously has to do with our different personatilies
